Bear fruit in keeping with repentance. (ESV) Matthew 3John's message is to repent. Repentance means, "to change your mind." This is an inward change of the heart toward personal sin. John challenges us to notice that genuine repentance is demonstrated by actions. SWC

Hi Pastor,
Disregard my phone message as I just found this place for comments.
In reading the 3rd chapter of Matt. my thoughts ran to the distances a large group of people walked in a hot dry land to hear a man who was dressed in skins, probably a shaggy beard and hair, no McDonalds on the way, sore feet and aching bodies from the hike.
All this to hear a message that some would accept as the truth, and others would just make fun and ridicule.
Then I thought - How many of our people, including myself, If we started out at the church, would walk to Glendawn Camp on Five Mile Lake, to hear an Evangelist preach the word that we already knew would be preached from God's Word.
We have a time just to get to our car and drive to Southcenter to church.
How soft we have become. Had the early Christians been like us, the gospel would never have been passed down so we could hear it, but for the grace of God.
Excellent observation! We need to rekindle the fire! SWC
Pastor:
This is a very challenging site to use.
